Welcome to BBT: Penderyn Community Centre

Penderyn Community Centre and The Hiker’s Hub café

We are delighted to welcome Penderyn Community Centre as a new member of Brecon Beacons Tourism.

Recently refurbished, the centre has been developed as both a community hub and a practical welcome point for visitors on the edge of Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) National Park. It brings several useful reasons to stop in Penderyn under one roof: The Hiker’s Hub café, flexible rooms for community activities, and professional space for meetings, training and events.

A café and welcome for walkers

The independently run Hiker’s Hub serves breakfasts, lighter food, coffee and cake. It welcomes local residents, visitors and walking groups, and the centre is well placed for people exploring Waterfall Country and routes towards Sgwd yr Eira. Opening hours and menus can change, so visitors should check the centre’s current information before travelling.

Space for meetings, training and community events

The main hall can seat up to 80 people or be divided into two private spaces for up to 40 people each. The centre can support corporate away-days, training workshops, board meetings, consultations, film screenings, community gatherings and parties. Meeting rooms include 75-inch interactive screens and high-speed Wi-Fi, with on-site catering available for suitable bookings.

A useful place with a community purpose

Accessible facilities, dedicated parking and straightforward access from the A465 help the centre work for local groups, visiting organisations and people spending time in the area. Every room booking, event and café visit also helps support this independent community facility and the work it does in Penderyn.
