Penderyn Community Centre is a newly refurbished village hub on the edge of Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) National Park. It brings together The Hiker’s Hub café, flexible community and event space, professional meeting and training rooms and a convenient starting point for exploring Waterfall Country.

The Hiker’s Hub café

The independently run café serves breakfasts, lighter food, coffee and cake for local residents, visitors and walking groups. It is a useful stop before or after a walk towards Sgwd yr Eira and the wider waterfall trails. Opening hours and the current menu can change, so check the centre’s website before travelling.

Meetings, training and events

The main hall can seat up to 80 people or divide into two rooms for up to 40 people each. The centre welcomes meetings, training days, corporate away-days, workshops, community gatherings, parties, consultations and film screenings. Each meeting room has a 75-inch interactive screen and high-speed Wi-Fi, while on-site catering can support suitable bookings.

A community space with a visitor welcome

Regular classes, clubs and community events sit alongside room hire and the café. Using the centre, booking a room or stopping for refreshments helps support this independent community facility and its work in Penderyn.

Access, parking and location

The centre describes the building as fully accessible and provides accessible toilets, dedicated on-site parking and straightforward access from the A465. It is also positioned as a starting point for walks towards Sgwd yr Eira. Walking routes can include uneven, wet and steep ground, so visitors should check current route and weather guidance before setting out.
