Wales Tourism Alliance (WTA) – Supporting the Tourism Industry in Wales

The Wales Tourism Alliance (WTA) is the leading representative body for the tourism industry in Wales. Established in 1998, the WTA provides a unified voice for businesses and organisations within the visitor economy, working to ensure that the interests of the sector are represented at both Welsh and UK Government levels.

As an independent membership organisation, the WTA collaborates with tourism associations, operators, and businesses across Wales, offering insight, advocacy, and policy engagement. It plays a key role in influencing tourism-related legislation, policies, and funding initiatives, ensuring that decision-makers understand the challenges and opportunities faced by the industry.

The WTA is actively involved in discussions on sustainable tourism, business support, taxation, skills development, and rural tourism. It also provides regular updates on industry trends, government regulations, and economic developments that impact tourism.

Brecon Beacons Tourism is a proud member of the WTA, working alongside them to support and strengthen the tourism industry in Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) and the wider region. By being part of the WTA, we contribute to shaping policies that promote a thriving, resilient, and sustainable tourism economy in Wales.
