Bringing together American blues heritage and British blues excellence, this promises to be a standout night for music lovers across Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) and beyond.
Mark Hummel (USA) is widely recognised as one of the finest harmonica players of his generation. A Grammy nominee, Blues Award winner and award-nominated author, Hummel has been described by Blues Revue as one of the best ever to play the instrument.
A leading exponent of American blues, he has performed alongside legends including Charles Brown, Charlie Musselwhite, Lowell Fulson, Billy Boy Arnold, Carey Bell, Lazy Lester, Brownie McGhee, John Mayall, Eddie Taylor, Luther Tucker and Jimmy Rogers. As The New Yorker once put it, “he knows a thing or two about how to please an audience.”
Bob Hall (keys) – A veteran of the British blues scene, Hall has worked with Peter Green (Fleetwood Mac), Charlie Watts (Rolling Stones) and Alexis Korner, the influential musician who helped launch Eric Clapton’s career.
Dave Peabody (acoustic guitar) – Three-time UK Blues Artist of the Year and highly respected for his work with Honey Boy Edwards and Charlie Musselwhite.
Supporting the evening will be SGA Mike Bird & Friends, bringing acoustic blues to open the night.
