Blues-rock fans in Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) are in for a special night this summer as acclaimed guitarist and songwriter Jack J Hutchinson brings an intimate acoustic performance to The Muse in Brecon on Saturday 6 June 2026.
Presented by the Mid Wales Rhythm & Blues Club, the show will be Hutchinson’s only Welsh date as part of a short run of exclusive acoustic performances across the UK.
Known for his powerful blend of blues rock, roots and classic rock influences, Hutchinson has built a strong reputation on the UK and international live circuit. For these acoustic shows, audiences can expect a stripped-back evening showcasing the blues and roots side of his music, alongside new material written especially for the tour and carefully chosen covers that have influenced his songwriting journey.
His latest album, Battle Scars, reached the Official Blues Chart Top 5, with Classic Rock Magazine describing the release as “genuinely spiritual”.
Over recent years, Hutchinson has toured extensively across Europe, America and Brazil, sharing stages with major acts including FM, King King, Steve Cradock, and festival appearances alongside BlackBerry Smoke, Chris Robinson and Jeff Beck.
Supporting on the night will be Aled Clifford of Welsh blues-rock favourites Henry’s Funeral Shoe.
Aled will perform a solo set featuring original songs, covers, and material drawn from both Henry’s Funeral Shoe and his wider catalogue — making this a particularly strong double bill for fans of blues, roots and alternative rock.
The Muse continues to strengthen its reputation as one of the most exciting grassroots music venues in Bannau Brycheiniog, with the Mid Wales Rhythm & Blues Club bringing nationally recognised artists to the heart of Brecon.
For live music fans looking for something intimate, atmospheric and genuinely memorable, this promises to be one of the standout gigs of the early summer season.
