Spring in Hay-on-Wye marks the return of one of the town’s best-loved regular attractions, as Brecon Beacons Tourism member Hay Markets Ltd prepares to launch the 2026 Saturday Market season.
The first market will take place on Saturday 4 April, falling over the Easter weekend and bringing extra energy to the town centre as visitors return for the new season.
Known for its friendly atmosphere and strong mix of traders, the Saturday Market showcases the best of local enterprise while encouraging visitors to explore Hay’s famous independent high street.
Visitors can expect:
Alongside the stalls themselves, the market helps increase footfall across the town, supporting cafés, bookshops and independent retailers that make Hay-on-Wye such a distinctive destination.
With Easter bringing additional visitors to Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) National Park, the market offers another reason to include Hay-on-Wye in spring itineraries.
Whether visiting for a short browse or planning a full day out, the return of the Saturday Market signals the start of another vibrant season for the town.
