This September, the passion and artistry of flamenco comes to the heart of Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) National Park as Theatr Brycheiniog hosts a spectacular performance and a hands-on workshop.
On Sunday 21 September 2025, the acclaimed Lourdes Fernández Flamenco Company presents Flamenco Orígenes. This powerful show blends traditional flamenco with contemporary energy, featuring stunning dance, live music and rich cultural storytelling. With rave reviews and a reputation for electrifying performances, it promises to be a night to remember.
To set the stage, on Saturday 20 September, dancer Josie Laurel will lead a Flamenco Taster Workshop at Theatr Brycheiniog’s studio. The session introduces the basics of flamenco — rhythm, footwork, handwork and coordination — in a fun and welcoming way. No prior experience is needed, just comfortable clothing and plenty of enthusiasm.
