Exciting News for Talgarth Mill Visitors: New Café Opening with Local Chefs

We’re pleased to share that Brecon Beacons Tourism Association Members ; Talgarth Mill will be reopening their café with new tenants on Tuesday, 24th September, and it’s none other than local culinary stars Billy and Emma Trigg of Trigg Food.

Billy Trigg, a renowned chef with experience in award-winning restaurants across the globe, including Bristol’s celebrated Poco and The Ethicurean, is set to bring his expertise to Talgarth Mill. The Ethicurean being well known for it's sustainable approach. Billy, alongside his wife Emma, founded Trigg Food in 2016 after returning to Hay-on-Wye, and since then, they’ve been delivering exceptional food experiences through events and pop-ups.

At Talgarth Mill, Billy and Emma will continue their commitment to using seasonal, locally sourced ingredients, putting a strong focus on sustainability. Billy expressed his excitement, sharing that it’s been a long-time dream to open a venue in his local area. He looks forward to working with local suppliers and offering great food at affordable prices.

In addition to the café’s offerings, Emma’s background in events and festivals will help transform the space into a vibrant hub, featuring evening events, music, and art.

The café will officially open on 24th September, followed by a launch event on Friday, 27th September. Stay tuned for more details on the launch and the café’s new opening hours, including potential Sunday and evening service.
