Brecon Women's Festival Event by The Hours Café and Bookshop 

2pm – Women Artists and the Brecknock Art Trust - Y Gaer Atrium, Glamorgan St
For over a quarter of a century the Brecknock Art Trust has supported the remarkable
expansion of the regional art collection at the Museum & Art Gallery in Brecon. This
collection of indisputable significance is due in no small part to the efforts of David
Moore, former curator of the museum for twelve years and joint founder the Art Trust
who now writes and publishes widely about modern art and public art collections in
Wales. To mark the Trust's 25th year David has curated a new exhibiton Brecknock Art
Trust: 25 Years of Collecting with an accompanying book of the same name. For Brecon
Women's Festival David has highlighted the work of seventeen incredible women artists
represented in the new exhibition and whose work he will discuss in a specially guided
tour of this striking collection. It includes the dazzling Doppelganger by late Aberga
venny Artist Sarah Snazzell which features on the cover of his new book
