Village Show Brings Local Creativity and Competition to Llandovery Sheep Festival
The much-anticipated Village Show returns to the Castle Hotel Ballroom on Sunday 21 September 2025 as part of this year’s Llandovery Sheep Festival.
Open to all ages and skill levels, the show celebrates local creativity, homegrown produce, baking and craft talent, all with a touch of sheep-themed fun. With over 30 categories ranging from fruit scones and chilli jam to wonkiest veg and hand-knitted sheep, it’s a lively mix of tradition and imagination.

🕘 Entry drop-off: 9am–10am, Castle Hotel Ballroom
🏅 Judging: 10am–11am
👀 Public viewing: 11am–4pm
💷 Entry fee: 50p per item, children’s entries free
🕓 Prizegiving: 4pm — with cash prizes for the highest points
🧁 Cakes must be presented on plain white paper plates
No need to pre-register – just arrive with your entry on the day. Categories include Domestic Produce, Handicrafts, Vegetables, Flowers, and a Children’s Section (ages 4–7, 8–11, 12–16). Points are awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place across each section, with cash prizes for overall champions.
