EVENT DETAILS

Saturday 7 March 7:00pm (for 7:30 start)

Do you dream of summiting Everest? Have you watched the films and read the books, but still wonder what is it really like to climb the summit of the highest mountain on earth?

“Once that idea ignites, it’s impossible to extinguish”. Join Tim Kington (LOWA) as he gives a candid, unfiltered account of the highs (and lows) of climbing Everest and answers your questions along the way. Doesn’t using Oxygen make it easy? Aren’t the “climbers” all dentists & lawyers? Don’t you have to poo in a plastic bag and what’s with all the ladders?

Tim’s not a sponsored athlete or full-time mountain guide, he’s a mountaineer and keen photographer, perhaps like you. So If you’ve ever tried to get two months off work, tried asking the bank for a loan, or started training night and day: this talk is for you!

Come and share a relaxed evening with Tim and the LOWA team, enjoy stunning photographs of the landscapes of Everest and share your love of all things mountain related.
