The Women’s Welsh Quilt Project (part of The Community Shawl Project) will commence

at The Hours Bookshop on the Saturday 14th March, continuing on the Saturday 28th

March and is a project open toany woman living in Wales. Participants will create quilt

squares (9x9cm) using any style of sewing or embroidery they wish as long as there is an

element of red.You can use images, words or designs that portray the achievements of

women (however small or large) – it might be something brave, political, celebratory or just

a wonderful memory and can be traditional or contemporary in design.

Material, needles and threads will be to hand, but bring your own if you prefer.

These informal, friendly, inclusive workshops will run from 10-12pm, and after lunch

(included in the price) from 1-3pm. The cost is £40 for each date - you are welcome to
