Championing independent and artisan businesses, the monthly market focuses on speciality foods, artisan makers, local producers, gatherers and vintage resellers.

The vibe for Saturdays is relaxed. Visitors come to shop, sample produce, and sit on the square and Castle terraces to eat, drink and soak up the weekend ambience.

The square has a focus on food, with the Buttermarket showcasing fledgling and established designer makers. The Castle Honesty Bookshop is also transformed each month into a vintage fashion, collectibles, furniture and flea market
