Celebrate the 225th anniversary of the Brecon Canal with a magical lantern procession along the towpath in Llangattock.
Hosted by the Canal & River Trust, this festive event marks a special moment in canal history — 225 years since the first cargo of coal arrived in Brecon on Christmas Eve, 1800.
Enjoy a stunning display of life-sized illuminated lanterns, including a horse, swan, and otter, lighting up the canal and creating a truly enchanting evening for all ages.
After the walk, warm up at The Horseshoe Inn, where hot food and mulled drinks will be served.
Bring your own lanterns or torches to join in and help light the historic towpath — the more lights, the merrier!
