Since its start in 2012 Brecon Women’s Festival has planted dozens of trees all over Brecon
as a lasting natural legacy of its International Women's Day celebrations. This year we come
together again under the expert eye of Paula Keen of Coed Cadw (the Woodland Trust in
Wales), Friends of Brecon Groves & Prom and the Canal & Rivers Trust to revisit some of
our earliest plantings. We will learn about how to care for young trees, maintain some of
those we have planted previously and plant a few more. Please wear suitable clothing and
footwear for the changeable Welsh weather and bring gardening gloves and a spade if you
have them. Meeting point is next to the basketball court at Brecon Promenade
