Crying in the Silicon Valley is an innovative exhibition of fourteen embroidered
panels that illustrate a profound, spiritual narrative of brokenness and restoration.
Drawing on the Lent journey to Easter these are meditative pieces designed to make
people reflect and think. The Artist, Revd. Dr Romola Parish is a former academic
and lawyer specialising in environmental change who later studied traditional hand
embroidery at the Royal School of Needlework and Creative Writing at Oxford. Romola
is a non-stipendiary curate in the Diocese of St David's and the creative arts,
embroidery, textiles and poetry in particular are her languages of faith.
