Celebrating nearly 20 years of Baroque music in the Brecon Beacons


This October, the internationally acclaimed Brecon Baroque Festival returns to Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) with four days of outstanding concerts, intimate recitals and world-class performances. Founded and directed by violinist Rachel Podger, the festival is now a highlight of the cultural calendar in Wales, attracting musicians and audiences from across the UK and beyond.

What to expect


The 2025 theme, “For Severall Friends”, showcases European works from Locke to Bach. The programme ranges from chamber music to full ensemble performances with choir, offering audiences a rich and varied experience. Expect to hear celebrated period specialists performing in atmospheric venues across Brecon, from churches and community halls to the main stage at Theatr Brycheiniog.
