Brecknock Sinfonia Orchestra is a blend of professional players, instrumental teachers and ex-
perienced amateurs from across South Wales and the Marches who come together for four con-
certs a year, usually in Brecon Cathedral. Remarkably, since its inception in 1999 many of the
Sinfonia’s players have been and continue to be some of the most accomplished female players.
This Spring concert in association with Brecon Women’s Festival offers a sublime programme of
classical music by Prokofiev (Classical Symphony) and Mozart (Jupiter Symphony) in which
the orchestra will be joined for Mozart’s D major violin concerto by the young Royal College of
Music scholar and award winning violinist Teagan Craggs. Do come along and join this iconic
band of players for an evening of music to savour and remember.
Tickets £15 (students £10, under 16s free) on the door or in advance at
