Brecon Film Society support Brecon Women's Festival with a special screening

of Blue Road – a final testimony in her own words from the late great controversial Irish

novelist Edna O'Brien. The biopic tells the extraordinary story of O'Brien's rise to

stardom, her scandalous flee from her native Ireland where her books were banned and

burned in a career that spawned over 60 years. Her personal journals are read aloud in the

film by the award winning Hamnet actress Jessie Buckley.
