This summer, in a world that often feels fast-moving and uncertain, a new series of author events offers visitors and locals alike the chance to pause, reflect and reconnect.
As part of this programme, award-winning author Jay Griffiths will visit the area to discuss her latest book, How Animals Heal Us — a powerful, original and deeply thoughtful exploration of the role animals play in our wellbeing, both individually and collectively.
Through stories, science and personal experience, Jay shares how animals may guide us toward living in healthier, kinder, and more compassionate societies. Her work invites us to see the natural world not only as something to observe, but as something that can support and heal us.
