New Faces. Old Friends. The weekend of 20 and 21 September will see food world aficionados flocking to the Welsh Borders. Fun and immersive, the Festival is packed with activities and showcases 180 exhibitors across six venues selected for quality, provenance, and sustainability.

Top talent and bags of creativity make for pure culinary theatre. Grab a seat in the market hall for top-notch chef demonstrations; head to the castle for fire stage alchemy; drop into the Octopus Books Dome or Local & Vocal Stage for lively talks and debates. Guests include Andi Oliver, Matt Tebbutt, Thomasina Miers, and Becky Excell aka ‘The Queen of Gluten-free’.

Wales has some great chefs and two of the best will be giving demonstrations: Tom Waters, chef-patron of Gorse (awarded Cardiff’s first Michelin Star this year), and Tommy Heaney, who has been redefining Cardiff’s culinary landscape ever since opening his flagship restaurant, Heaneys.
