A full weekend of guided mountain biking is coming to Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) National Park, with Wye MTB delivering two standout rides across some of the region’s most iconic terrain this May.
Taking place on 16–17 May, the E-Bike Weekender is designed to open up big mountain riding to more people — combining classic routes, expert guiding, and the added boost of e-bike support.
Two Days. Two Very Different Rides.
Day 1 – The Gap
A well-known Welsh classic, The Gap offers flowing trails, wide-open views and a rewarding mountain crossing. Sitting over 600m above sea level, it’s a strong step up from trail centres and a brilliant introduction to real mountain terrain.
Day 2 – Black Mountains
Day two shifts the pace. Expect more technical, natural riding with remote landscapes, big descents and a true sense of adventure in one of the most dramatic areas of the National Park.
What to Expect
The weekend is aimed at blue to red level riders, making it accessible while still delivering a genuine mountain biking experience.
Ride One Day or Both
Participants can join for a single day or take on the full weekend.
This is proper mountain biking — with the added benefit of e-bikes to help riders go further, climb higher and enjoy more of the landscape.
