Brecon Beacons Tourism is pleased to confirm that Ffion James, National Development Manager at Beicio Cymru, will be speaking at the event, sharing insight into the growing role of cycling within Wales’ visitor economy.
Cycling continues to expand as a major part of the tourism landscape across Wales, attracting visitors seeking active experiences and exploring the country’s landscapes on two wheels. With international cycling events set to pass through the region in the coming years — including the Tour de France — destinations such as Bannau Brycheiniog are increasingly in the spotlight.
At the Summit, Ffion will explore how cycling tourism is developing across Wales and what it means for destinations and businesses within the National Park and surrounding communities. The session will look at how tourism businesses can connect with the opportunities created by cycling events, routes and experiences.
Ffion will be speaking alongside Rhidian Jones, Head of Tourism Development at Visit Wales, offering both national and sector perspectives on how destinations can position themselves for the opportunities ahead.
The discussion forms part of the Summit’s afternoon programme, which focuses on practical insight and forward-looking opportunities for tourism businesses across Bannau Brycheiniog.
Hosted by Brecon Beacons Tourism in partnership with Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) National Park Authority, the Summit brings together businesses and sector partners to share insight, build understanding and look ahead together.
Designed as a focused half-day event, the programme combines strategic context with practical sessions exploring visitor experience, digital visibility, partnership working and emerging tourism opportunities.
The event also forms part of Brecon Beacons Tourism’s 20th anniversary year, marking two decades of collaboration supporting tourism businesses across the region.
