Visitors planning to visit Carreg Cennen Castle over the coming week are advised that the site will be temporarily closed on selected dates in May due to essential works and operational requirements.

The castle will remain open across the intervening weekend, on Saturday 19 May and Sunday 20 May. However, visitors should note that the Cave in the Castle will remain closed during this period.
Set dramatically above the surrounding countryside on the edge of Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) National Park, Carreg Cennen Castle remains one of the most striking historic sites in South Wales, attracting walkers, photographers and heritage visitors throughout the year.
Visitors are encouraged to check ahead before travelling and to plan accordingly during the temporary closure period.
