See the former colliery setting and four very different adventures waiting at Zip World Tower Colliery.
Zip World Tower Colliery is an adventure attraction at the former Tower Colliery site near Hirwaun, on the southern edge of Bannau Brycheiniog. The preserved industrial setting now hosts four bookable adventures, seasonal events and the Cegin Glo Bar & Bistro.
Phoenix is a seated zip-line flight reaching speeds of up to 70mph. Tower Coaster is a two-seat gravity-powered ride, Tower Flyer brings a shorter zip-wire experience and Tower Climber is a high-level obstacle course. Current prices, opening dates and participation rules are kept on each live adventure page.
The site welcomes families, organised groups and team days, with online booking and gift vouchers available. Dated experiences such as the Halloween and Christmas programmes should be checked on the official events pages rather than assumed to run every day or in the same form each year.
Cegin Glo serves food and drink on site, and visitor facilities include parking, viewing areas and a shop. Access and participation requirements vary between adventures, so anyone relying on a particular adjustment should read the current access information and contact Zip World before booking.
Tower Colliery was the UK's oldest continuously working coal mine until 2008. Its surviving buildings and local mining connections remain an important part of the experience, adding a distinct sense of place to the modern adventure site.
