Top Floor at Cantref House is a spacious self-catering apartment for two at Cantref, around four miles from Brecon in Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) National Park. It has wide views towards Pen y Fan, Cribyn, Fan y Big and the Black Mountains, with walking and cycling possible from the property.
The apartment has its own entrance, one king-size bedroom, shower room, lounge, fully equipped kitchen and a separate information room with local maps, guides, restaurant suggestions and transport contacts. A private balcony provides outdoor seating and mountain views, and guests may also use the front lawn.
The private entrance is reached by 26 outdoor steps. This makes the apartment unsuitable for anyone who cannot manage the staircase and, as the business advises, unsuitable for toddlers or very young children. Visitors should consider the approach carefully before booking.
The setting is deliberately promoted for stargazing and a telescope is provided for guests. Walking, hiking and cycling routes begin from the Cantref area, with horse riding close by and the central National Park peaks within reach for experienced walkers.
Current visitor information records one guest parking space, Wi-Fi and secure cycle storage. An ordinary outdoor three-pin socket may be available for slow overnight electric-car charging by arrangement; it is not a rapid charger, so visitors should confirm permission, cost and compatibility before relying on it.
