Live performers and the atmosphere of a Mid Wales Rhythm and Blues Club night.
The Mid Wales Rhythm & Blues Club is an independent, volunteer-led music promoter bringing blues, rhythm and blues, roots, rock, soul and Americana to venues in Brecon.
Founded in 2014, the club has built a loyal following by presenting established performers, international touring artists and emerging talent in smaller venues where audiences can experience the music at close quarters.
The programme ranges from acoustic country blues and one-person bands to full electric blues-rock performances. Visiting artists are frequently joined by Welsh and regional support acts, giving audiences the opportunity to discover new performers alongside familiar names.
The Muse on Glamorgan Street is the club’s principal venue and hosts many of its headline ticketed events. The club also presents performances at the Brecon Tap and works with venues and other promoters on selected collaborative shows.
Each venue has its own layout, facilities and access arrangements. Visitors should therefore check the individual event information rather than assuming that every performance takes place at The Muse.
Ticket prices and booking arrangements vary. Some performances are ticketed in advance through the club, venue or an online booking service, while selected Brecon Tap events are free to attend. Popular and limited-capacity shows can sell out, so early booking is recommended.
The club’s website includes upcoming events, artist information, gig reviews and galleries from previous performances. View upcoming events.
