Penderyn Swansea Copperworks Distillery brings Welsh whisky together with Swansea's industrial history inside the restored Hafod-Morfa Copperworks at Landore. Guided visits explore the Penderyn story, its distinctive stills and the heritage of a site that once stood at the heart of the world's copper industry.
The standard guided tour lasts around an hour and introduces the mill, mash tun, copper tunnel and Penderyn stills before adult visitors choose two tasters in the Tasting Bar. Masterclasses, premium tastings, evening tours, private bookings and selected events are offered on published dates, with vouchers available for tours and masterclasses.
Mashing and distilling are currently paused at Swansea, but visitors can still enter the distillery hall, see the equipment and explore the building's whisky and copperworking stories. The visitor shop is open on the distillery's published days. Tour places are limited, so check the live schedule and booking status before travelling.
Visitors aged 14 to 17 can join the standard tour but do not take part in tastings; under-14s cannot enter the production area. The main current visitor information describes the Swansea production route as available to wheelchair users, and free visitor parking is reached through the Landore Park & Ride barrier. Anyone with individual access requirements or an assistance dog should contact the team before booking so the most suitable route can be confirmed.
