Lakeside camping, touring caravans, holiday caravans, boating and fishing at Llangorse Lake.

Stay beside South Wales’ largest natural lake

Lakeside Caravan & Camping Park occupies a spectacular setting beside Llangorse Lake in Bannau Brycheiniog National Park.

Overlooked by the surrounding mountains and open common, the park provides seasonal accommodation for tents, touring caravans and motorhomes, alongside fully equipped static holiday caravans. Its location offers direct access to boating and fishing, with walking, cycling and the wider National Park within easy reach.

Camping and touring pitches are available with or without electricity. Facilities include toilets, showers, washing-up areas, parking and free Wi-Fi. The reception shop stocks basic supplies, and EV charging points sit outside the shop and café. The seasonal Lake Café and Lakeside Bar add easy food and drink options; check current opening arrangements before travelling. Advance bookings normally require a minimum stay of two nights, rising to three nights over bank-holiday weekends.

The campsite accepts up to two well-behaved dogs per pitch. Dogs must remain on leads, and an open dog-walking area is available beside the park. Raised barbecues are permitted, but open fires are not allowed.

Camping and touring operate seasonally; check current opening dates and availability before booking.

Holiday caravans beside the lake

Deluxe static holiday caravans are available in two layouts. Type A caravans have three bedrooms and sleep up to six people, while Type B caravans have two bedrooms and sleep up to four.

Each caravan includes central heating, double glazing, a kitchen, shower, toilet and living facilities. Guests normally provide their own bed linen and towels, although linen may be arranged for an additional charge.

Pets are not accepted in the hire caravans. Minimum stays and arrival days vary according to the season, so visitors should check availability and booking conditions online.

Boating, paddling and fishing

Llangorse Lake is particularly renowned for pike fishing. Lakeside hires rowing boats and fishing boats, alongside kayaks, Canadian canoes, pedalos and stand-up paddleboards.

Launching and mooring facilities are available for visitors bringing their own boats for activities including sailing, windsurfing and water-skiing. Permits, insurance, membership requirements and lake zoning arrangements may apply.

All lake activities depend upon weather, water quality, zoning and operating conditions. Visitors should check the latest information before travelling or bringing equipment to the lake.

Any boats, boards or equipment brought from elsewhere must be properly cleaned, drained and dried before arrival to help prevent the spread of zebra mussels and other invasive species.
