Meet friendly sheep, goats and miniature ponies at Aberhyddnant Organic Farm near Crai, in the heart of Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons). This family-run organic farm has offered memorable, hands-on animal experiences since 2014.
Walk through the countryside with a halter-trained Jacob sheep, try a goat or miniature pony experience, or join seasonal lambing, shearing and wool-craft activities. Sessions run in small groups, giving families, couples and organised groups plenty of time with the animals and insight into life on a working hill farm. Tailored sessions can also be arranged for parties, organised groups, business outings and team-building days.
Experiences vary by season and advance booking is recommended. Wear sturdy footwear and clothing suitable for a working farm; visitors cannot bring dogs because they may unsettle the animals.
