Garden Cottage is a detached, one-bedroom self-catering cottage for two beside the Monmouthshire & Brecon Canal in Talybont-on-Usk, within Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) National Park. With a choice of super king or twin beds, a log burner and space to sit outdoors, it offers a village base for couples or friends exploring the area together. Dogs are welcome, and the canal is just a few steps away for walks from the door.
The bedroom has en-suite facilities, while the equipped kitchen gives guests the flexibility to prepare meals during their stay. Outside, an enclosed rear patio and lawned front garden provide different places to spend time between outings. The canal setting is part of the experience: take a stroll along the towpath or pause to watch the boats pass.
Talybont-on-Usk has a village store, café and two pubs, giving guests options for supplies and eating out close to the cottage. Walkers and cyclists can explore the Taff Trail, Brinore Tramroad and Talybont Forest, with reservoirs, waterfalls and the National Park hills adding further options for days out. Brecon and Abergavenny offer town visits within a wider stay.
Off-road parking is available. There are four steps to enter the cottage; once inside, the accommodation is all on one level. Guests with access requirements should contact the owners to discuss the entrance and facilities before booking. The village hall has EV charging and a bicycle cleaning hub; these are village facilities rather than facilities at the cottage.
