Fforest Fields is a long-established, family-run camping, touring, glamping and self-catering site near Hundred House, around four miles from Builth Wells. Set in a 500-acre working farm in the Radnorshire hills, it combines spacious places to stay with lakes, woodland and miles of trails from the site.
Visitors can choose grass, hard-standing and all-purpose camping or touring pitches, glamping yurts, a cottage or a lodge. The different options allow couples, families, friends and mixed groups to share the same rural setting while choosing the accommodation that suits them. Small pitch or yurt groups are accepted under the current rules, with whole-site private hire available separately.
Modern washrooms include family rooms, an accessible shower and toilet, underfloor heating, laundry, a drying room and shared fridges and freezers. Site-wide Wi-Fi is available but can be temperamental in this rural location. The honesty shop stocks essentials and selected local and farm produce.
Marked trails lead directly across the farm, and guests may use the natural spring-fed Long Lake for responsible cold-water swimming under the published safety guidance. Dogs are welcome within the seasonal number limits and must remain on leads in the camping fields, with more freedom on designated land away from the pitches. The quiet rural setting also supports rewarding stargazing.
Wide hard-core tracks reach much of the site and all-terrain mobility scooters can use many routes, but this remains a working farm with uneven ground and some low steps. Visitors with particular access needs should discuss the most suitable pitch or stay before booking.
