Drover Cycles is an independent bike shop, hire centre and repair workshop in Hay-on-Wye. It helps local riders and visitors explore the Black Mountains, the Wye Valley and Bannau Brycheiniog by road, gravel route, trail and quiet country lane.
The current hire fleet includes electric, mountain, road, hybrid, touring and children's bikes and trailers. Bikes can be collected in Hay or delivered to accommodation and ride start points under the current distance and minimum-hire terms. The live online booking system shows available bikes and dates.
The Hay base includes a fully equipped repair and servicing workshop and a stocked shop for bikes, clothing, helmets, parts, accessories, maps and guidebooks. Products can also be ordered online for delivery or click and collect. On-site car and cycle parking, toilets, showers and EV charging are available under the current opening arrangements.
Drover also organises selected cycling events from Hay. Dates, routes, entry requirements and event-day services change, so riders should use the current event information rather than rely on an old profile date.
