Dan-yr-Ogof, the National Showcaves Centre for Wales — often known simply as the National Show Caves of Wales — combines three show caves and a major family attraction with camping, touring and self-catering accommodation in the upper Swansea Valley.
One admission ticket covers Dan-yr-Ogof Cave, Cathedral Cave, Bone Cave and the wider collection, including the Dinosaur Park, Shire Horse Centre, Victorian Farm, Iron Age Village, fossil displays and indoor and outdoor play. The caves are self-guided, with commentary at selected points, so visitors can move at their own pace.
Friendly family dogs are accepted in the show caves on a short lead under the current rules, but they are not permitted in the coffee shop, Shire Horse Centre, farm, play areas or stone-circle area.
The attraction is built on a mountainside with steep climbs, many steps and substantial walking. Approximately the first 200 metres of Dan-yr-Ogof Cave may be accessible to a wheelchair with assistance, while other areas are much more limited. Visitors should read the current access statement and discuss individual requirements before buying tickets.
