Camp Cynrig Glamping Village is a family-run, semi-off-grid glamping site beside the River Cynrig at Cantref, a short drive from Brecon in Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) National Park. Three self-catering units combine private facilities, outdoor space and campfire evenings with easy access to walking, dark skies and days out across the National Park.
The cabin by the river sleeps up to six in a king-size bed and two sets of full-sized bunk beds. It has a living area with a wood-burning stove, limited mains electricity, a covered outdoor kitchen and dining space, private flush toilet and private outdoor electric shower.
The large bell tent sleeps up to six, while the smaller boutique bell tent sleeps up to four. Each furnished tent has its own Shepherds Hut kitchenette and an assigned shower and flush toilet in the nearby facilities block. Outdoor seating and a private campfire or barbecue area give every unit space to relax outside.
The three units can be booked separately or together for a group gathering or special occasion. Families are welcome and the current standard package allows children aged up to 16 to stay free; visitors should use the live booking system for current occupancy, prices and minimum stays rather than relying on an old quoted rate.
Guests need to bring their own bedding, pillows and towels. Sleeping bags may be hired when arranged in advance. Dogs and other pets are not accepted, except guide dogs. Parking is provided beside the site, with cars kept away from the main glamping field.
Camp Cynrig sits within an International Dark Sky Reserve, making independent stargazing part of the stay. Pen y Fan can be reached on foot from the area, while Brecon, Llangorse Lake and other National Park attractions are within easy reach. The semi-off-grid setup uses solar-powered lighting and charging, with limited mains power in selected units.
