Borderlands First Aid provides practical, hands-on training for outdoor professionals, accommodation providers, attractions, hospitality businesses, educators and other organisations responsible for staff, customers or visitors.
Courses are designed to give participants the confidence and skills to manage an emergency until professional help arrives. Training is delivered by experienced instructors with a strong understanding of outdoor environments and the practical situations tourism businesses may encounter.
The programme includes one and two-day outdoor first-aid courses, advanced outdoor first aid and emergency first aid at work with forestry-specific content.
Workplace options include Emergency First Aid at Work, First Aid at Work, requalification and refresher training. Paediatric courses are available for early-years practitioners, schools and other organisations working with children. Combined forest-school and paediatric first-aid training is also offered.
Open courses are available on scheduled dates, while private courses can be arranged for businesses and groups at a suitable venue. This gives tourism organisations the flexibility to train several team members together and discuss scenarios relevant to their own operation.
