Antur Cymru has officially opened a new Business Support Hub in Brecon, marking a major step forward in its mission to help businesses across South Wales to start, grow and thrive.

Located at 104 The Struet, Brecon, the new hub offers free, tailored advice and hands-on support for entrepreneurs, start-ups and established businesses. The initiative, funded by the UK Government through the Shared Prosperity Fund and delivered in partnership with Powys County Council, aims to strengthen the local economy and support business resilience across the region.

Speaking at the opening, Powys County Councillor Matthew Dorrance said:

“I’m delighted to see this new Business Support Hub open in the centre of Brecon. I know it will provide much-needed support, help and guidance to businesses in south Powys.”

The Hub was officially opened by Brecon, Radnor and Cwm Tawe MP David Chadwick, who added:

“If you have an idea to reinvigorate our rural economy and want to start your own business, do it here on the high street.”

Bronwen Raine, Managing Director of Antur Cymru, explained what makes their approach unique:

“What makes our approach so effective is that we are visible and accessible. We’re here in person, offering tailored, free advice that can make a real difference at grassroots level. Our focus is on equipping individuals and firms with the right tools to thrive — and the impact is far greater than economic growth alone.”

The Brecon hub joins Antur Cymru’s growing network of regional offices, providing specialist support to help local businesses navigate everything from funding and marketing to skills and sustainability.
