Families looking for a new base to enjoy the landscapes and towns of Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) will find plenty to discover at Beacons Bluff Escapes, a rebranded glamping site just outside Builth Wells.
Run by Emma Staggs and Andrew Davies, the site has shed it’s former Wigwam Holidays branding to stand proudly on it’s own. With a new name and identity, Beacons Bluff Escapes offers the same warm welcome with a fresh sense of independence.
At it’s heart is a private lake, perfect for paddling, boating, or simply watching the sunset. Families can spread out across the site, try outdoor cooking, or use it as a launching point to nearby adventures.
Builth Wells and Hay-on-Wye are both close at hand, while the name itself – Beacons Bluff Escapes – reflects the site’s place within the Brecon Beacons landscape and its closeness to the dramatic Hay Bluff, a landmark that draws walkers from across the region.
Emma and Andrew say the change is about shaping the site’s future:
“Beacons Bluff Escapes is about creating a place where families can enjoy time together, surrounded by the best of Mid Wales. We want to offer more than a place to stay – it’s about memories, connections, and space to breathe.”
As the new name takes root, Beacons Bluff Escapes is set to become part of the growing network of small, family-run businesses helping shape the visitor experience across Bannau Brycheiniog.
