Black Mountain Escapes offers two self-catering retreats for two near Llangadog, beneath the Black Mountain on the western side of Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) National Park. Both combine character, privacy and countryside views with access to walking routes, local market towns and the wider Tywi Valley.
Gablebach is a restored historic cottage for two, with old beams, an Aga, wood-burning stove and a private outdoor bath cabin. It has Wi-Fi, parking, an enclosed outside area and space to sit out beneath the dark skies.
Y Golchdy is the estate's former laundry building, transformed into a secluded single-storey cabin for two. It has a wood burner, covered veranda, private covered hot tub, mountain views and a telescope for independent stargazing.
Both retreats welcome dogs and have private outside space, but the number and size suited to each property differ. Visitors should read the current dog guidance or speak to Ruth and Eirian before booking if they are unsure which retreat is the best fit. Private parking and Wi-Fi are provided at both stays, while Llangadog's pubs, shops and railway station are close by.
