Hay Castle has launched its autumn programme, bringing a varied series of talks, workshops, music and films to Hay-on-Wye, alongside the return of Fungi Town.

From hands-on creative sessions to live music, film screenings and thoughtful conversations, the programme offers plenty of reasons to spend time at the castle and explore what is happening across the autumn season.

Fungi Town returns to Hay

Fungi Town is once again at the heart of the programme, bringing together fungi walks, talks, workshops and events for curious beginners, experienced naturalists and everyone in between.

The 2026 programme includes opportunities to look more closely at Hay’s fungal diversity, learn about the role of fungi in gardens and ecosystems, explore mushroom-inspired printmaking and discover the stories behind mycology. There are also family-friendly activities and evening events, including the Fungi Town Puffball at The Globe.

More to discover at Hay Castle

Beyond Fungi Town, the autumn programme includes creative workshops, music, films and other events designed to bring people together in the castle’s historic spaces.

It is a programme with something for different interests and ages, whether you are looking for a practical workshop, an evening out or a chance to learn something new in the company of others.
