25–26 July 2026 | Llandovery, Carmarthenshire
If you're looking to slow down, learn a new skill and discover the creativity of one of Wales' most welcoming market towns, Llandovery Creative Weekend is the perfect excuse for a summer escape.
Taking place across venues throughout the town on Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 July, the weekend brings together talented local artists, makers and craftspeople for a programme of hands-on workshops designed to inspire visitors of all ages and abilities. Whether you're curious about stained glass, pottery, jewellery making, textiles, lino printing or traditional crafts, there's an opportunity to get involved and create something to take home.
Rather than a traditional craft fair, Llandovery Creative Weekend invites visitors to become makers themselves.
Workshops are hosted in independent businesses and community venues across the town, creating a relaxed atmosphere where you can meet local artists, learn new techniques and enjoy a genuinely immersive creative experience.
Sessions include:
Most workshops are suitable for beginners, with all materials provided unless otherwise stated. Places are limited, so advance booking is recommended.
Between workshops, take time to explore this historic market town on the western edge of Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons).
Browse independent shops and galleries, enjoy lunch in one of Llandovery's cafés, pubs or restaurants, visit the castle, or simply wander the colourful streets before returning to your next creative session.
It's an ideal weekend for couples, friends and anyone looking for a slower, more creative break in rural Wales.
