Visitors and local residents alike are invited to discover a different side of Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) National Park this summer with a guided walk led by Brecon Beacons Tourism member Sarah Price Hiking.
Taking place on Thursday 23 July, the relaxed evening walk forms part of Merthyr Tydfil’s ‘Your Town, Your Trails’ programme, encouraging people to explore the town’s rich industrial heritage, green spaces and riverside paths through the eyes of a knowledgeable local guide.
Often recognised as one of the southern gateways to Bannau Brycheiniog, Merthyr Tydfil is a town with a remarkable story. From its world-changing industrial heritage to its network of walking routes, parks and nearby mountain landscapes, it offers visitors an opportunity to combine history, nature and outdoor adventure in a single visit.
