Visitors are invited to discover, create and be inspired at the first-ever Llandovery Creative Workshops Weekend, taking place on Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th July 2026.

Over the course of the weekend, talented makers and artists will be hosting a diverse programme of hands-on workshops in venues across the town. Visitors will have the opportunity to try a range of creative disciplines, including art, pottery, stained glass, jewellery making, cordage and other traditional and contemporary crafts. Whether you're a complete beginner or looking to develop existing skills, there will be something to inspire every creative curiosity.

Participants can book directly with individual makers, allowing them to choose from a variety of workshops and experiences throughout the weekend. As well as enjoying creative activities, visitors are encouraged to explore the unique character of Llandovery, with its independent businesses, historic charm and warm hospitality.

The event is proudly supported by The Castle Hotel, Llandovery, where visitors can enjoy a delicious lunch menu during the weekend. A variety of other cafés, pubs and eateries throughout the town will also be welcoming visitors, making it easy to pause between workshops, enjoy a leisurely meal, or relax with friends while soaking up the atmosphere.

Getting to the event couldn't be easier. Free parking will be available throughout the weekend in the public car park, courtesy of Llandovery Town Council. For those travelling by public transport, Llandovery is conveniently served by the scenic Heart of Wales railway line, while regular bus services also connect the town with surrounding areas.
