If you’re looking for somewhere to spend a few relaxed hours with good food, live music and plenty of space to unwind, Penpont Estate’s Summer Feast could be just the thing.
Taking place on Saturday 6 June, the event brings together local food, music, nature and community in the beautiful courtyard of one of the most historic estates in Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) National Park.
Open from 3pm, visitors are invited to slow down and enjoy an afternoon and evening at Penpont. Whether you’re meeting friends, spending time with family or simply looking for an excuse to get outdoors, there’s plenty to enjoy.
At the heart of the event are Penpont’s own 100% grass-fed Longhorn burgers, served alongside seasonal sides made using organic produce from the estate’s walled garden. Vegan burger options will also be available.
Shepherd’s Ice Cream will be joining the celebrations too, bringing a taste of summer to the courtyard.
As the evening unfolds, Welsh musician Bob Gallie will provide the soundtrack with live music from 7pm. Known for his distinctive voice and accomplished guitar playing, Bob’s performance promises to create the perfect atmosphere for a summer evening gathering.
And if the weather decides not to fully cooperate? Don’t worry. Penpont’s courtyard setting, historic buildings and sheltered spaces mean the event can still be enjoyed whatever the Welsh summer has in store.
Visitors can also book a sauna session running throughout the afternoon and evening, adding an extra element of relaxation to the day.
A visit to Penpont can easily become more than just an evening event.
Arrive early and spend time exploring the estate’s gardens, riverside walks and historic surroundings before settling into the courtyard for food and music. Nearby Brecon offers independent shops, cafés and attractions, making this an easy addition to a weekend exploring the area.
It’s exactly the kind of experience that reminds us that some of the best days out aren’t about rushing from one place to another – they’re about finding somewhere special and enjoying it.
