Part of Brecon Jazz Festival, Blodeugerdd / The Great Welsh Songbook brings a contemporary Welsh jazz sound to Theatr Brycheiniog in the heart of Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) National Park this August.
Led by acclaimed Welsh trumpeter Tomos Williams, this powerful collaboration reimagines traditional Welsh melodies through modern jazz, creating something atmospheric, expressive and unmistakably rooted in Wales. Featuring an exceptional line-up including Huw Warren, Paula Gardiner, Mark O’Connor, Rachel Musson and rising vocalist Eadyth Crawford, the performance blends deep grooves, improvisation and the Welsh language into a rich live experience.
Set against the backdrop of one of Wales’ best-loved jazz festivals, the performance offers visitors and music lovers the chance to experience live music in Brecon while exploring the wider town, canal-side walks, independent food and drink scene and summer events taking place across Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons).
For visitors planning a music-filled weekend in Mid Wales, Brecon Jazz Festival continues to combine internationally recognised artists with distinctive Welsh talent across venues throughout the town.
