From first gravity laps to technical descents and jump lines, BikePark Wales brings together graded trails, passes, hire and coaching in one purpose-built park.
BikePark Wales is a purpose-built mountain bike park at Mynydd Gethin near Merthyr Tydfil, on the southern edge of Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) National Park. Its extensive all-weather network ranges from beginner gravity trails to technical downhill, flow and jump lines for experienced riders.
Visitors can book uplift or pedal passes, hire enduro, downhill or electric bikes and protective equipment, and arrange coaching or guiding. Beginner experiences provide a structured first visit, while regular riders can choose from the wider graded trail network. Passes, hire and coaching are best booked in advance.
Families are welcome, with child offers published at selected times. Children aged 15 and under must be supervised under the current rider rules. Group packages cover schools, corporate and team days, and hen or stag visits, with bespoke enquiries available for larger groups.
An adaptive bike pass gives access to tested routes, a tailored map and a free pass for the required support rider. Adaptive riders should contact the team before visiting because only selected trails have been approved for the wider bike footprint and individual needs must be discussed.
On-site facilities include free parking with designated disabled spaces, a café, bike and equipment hire, retail shop, workshop, bike-wash area and first-response provision. The site is cashless.
