Market Hall Cinema is a community-run cinema in Brynmawr, an eastern gateway to Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons). It shows a current programme of new releases and special screenings in a building that has been part of the town since 1894.

Wales' oldest cinema

The Market Hall first opened in February 1894 as a market, public hall and venue for entertainment. Today it is run for the community by The Market Hall Cinema and Arts Trust, a registered charity, and combines its long history with a regularly changing cinema programme.

A good-value family cinema visit

The programme and admission prices change, so visitors should use the official website to check current films, screening times and ticket information before travelling. Family tickets are available and the cinema also operates a youth membership scheme.

Access and getting there

The cinema provides two wheelchair spaces, access throughout the venue and a ground-floor accessible toilet. Anyone who would like assistance or needs to confirm arrangements for a particular screening should contact the cinema directly. Ample free parking is available near Market Square.
