From 12pm entertainment from Brecon Town Band, Builth ladies choir and the Scottish dancing festival will take place. Good Day Out have added a variation to their popular Evening with an Astronomer sessions, which will run for selected dates with a decent forecast through June and July when the Milky Way is looking splendid from the Brecon Beacons Dark Sky Reserve!
Starting at 10pm, your pocket astronomer will talk you through telescope settings and familiarise you with the constellations and planets and tell you the Myths & Legends of the skies whilst the sweep of the Milky Way unveils itself.
Using professional equipment, you will observe, learn, and take photographs of the night sky.

Brecon Town Open Studios
Brecon creatives are opening their doors to the public in the first Brecon Town Open Studios trail on Friday June 24 and Saturday June 25. There are nine studios involved this year and all are within walking distance of each other, which is a criteria for becoming involved. It's hoped that the trail will expand in future years to include other artists who work in Brecon Town.
The artists involved include painters, a glassmaker, book upcyclers, a photographer, a glassmaker and a film maker - NIgel Evans, better known as a musician and an Fyi:Brecon editor is revealing clips of his new film, based on Greed the Rock Opera. More info here
