Brecon Town Concert Band celebrates its 50th anniversary with a special concert featuring a selection of Welsh music, and a performance of Mussorgsky’s “Pictures at an Exhibition”.
The second half of the concert will feature vocalist David Bond and all the Last Night favourites. Come and raise your voices to “Land of Hope and Glory”; “Jerusalem” and “Rule Britannia”. Toot your hooters and try and keep pace with the band as they perform “Fantasia on British Sea Songs”.

Today the choir has over 100 members and has sung around the word to great acclaim. It has toured in Australia, New Zealand, the USA and many European countries including the Baltic States; it is the only Welsh male choir to have sung in both the Kremlin and the White House. In addition to foregrounding local school choirs, its annual concert has featured such stars as Rebecca Evans, Katherine Jenkins, John Owen Jones, Gwawr Edwards, Lesley Garrett, Rhydian, Paul Potts and most recently, Rhys Meirion, Shân Cothi, and Aled Wyn Davies.

Based in and around Abergavenny, Pangolin perform a variety of acoustic, folk, Americana and contemporary music. They play a bit of country and their own interpretations of some modern classics. They mostly play covers but sometimes play their own songs.
