Garden Gift Fair just keeps on giving
Chocolate gifts, skincare experts, jewellery, handbags, scarves, children’s books and a warming festive tipple - you’ll find all this and more at the National Botanic Garden Gift Fair on Saturday and Sunday, November 5 and 6.
And it just might be the perfect place to solve the problem of what to get that difficult-to-buy-for loved one, friend or family member.
Among the top names gathering among the Mediterranean plantings in the Botanic Garden’s Great Glasshouse are Chantler Teas, Phoenix Trading and Little Grandma’s Kitchen.
Also among this special selection of local stallholders, you will find delicious tasters from So Sweet Couture and Bee Dazzled. There’s also skincare options from Neal’s Yard, Forever Living and Tropic.
Organiser Linsey Perry said: “The range of gifts on offer is as varied and fabulous as it’s ever been. It’s going to be a great weekend - and the perfect venue to get your Christmas shopping off to a fine start.”
Linsey added: “We also have musical entertainment from the likes of the Waterwheel Choir, Carmarthen Ukuleles, Carmarthen Symphonic Band and the Steve Williams Trio.”
The Gift Fair is on from 10am until 4.30pm on both days. Entry to the fair is included in the Garden admission price and there is plenty of free parking.
Butterflies make for an awesome autumn/winter visit
It’s been the big visitor hit of the summer in West Wales as well as the talk of the towns hereabouts but the Butterfly House is still wowing the crowds through the autumn and winter.
The awesome tropical butterflies have been amazing Botanic Garden visitors of all ages since July and, if you haven’t been to see them yet, there’s still time.
From November 1st, the Garden is open every from 10am to 4.30pm (last entry 3.30pm) so that is still plenty of time to make a beeline for the Butterfly House and see the stunning and exotic collection for yourself.
There are special group rates for November and December of just £5 per person (in groups of 10 or more).
